How to connect Cliniko to Routiq.
Connect Cliniko to Routiq so Robyn can read your live diary, offer real times and book directly into Cliniko. Here is the full setup, start to finish.
Before you start.
About 10 minutes, start to finish. You'll need:
- A Cliniko account with admin access, so you can change Online Bookings settings.
- A Routiq account. If you do not have one yet, start the 7-day free trial: nothing to pay for 7 days, card up front and charged on day 8, cancel any time before then.

Sign in to Routiq by SMS
On your computer or phone, go to robyn.routiq.ai/sign-in/mobile and enter your mobile number. We'll text you a 6-digit code, no password needed. New to Routiq? Start your free trial at robyn.routiq.ai/sign-up instead. You will land on your Routiq dashboard, where you connect Cliniko in the last step.
Turn on online bookings in Cliniko
In Cliniko, open Settings then Online Bookings and tick the option to allow patients to book appointments online. This exposes your live availability so Robyn can offer real times.
Make each practitioner bookable
For every practitioner you want Robyn to book, open their profile and tick the option to show them in online bookings. Anyone left unticked stays invisible to booking, so check your active clinicians.
Make each business visible
If you run more than one business or location in Cliniko, switch the option to display that business in online bookings to On for each one Robyn should offer. Locations left off will not appear.
Make an API key in Cliniko
In Cliniko, open My info, under your name. Under API keys, turn on the switch, press Update user and confirm it's you. Then Manage API keys, then Add an API Key. Name it Routiq and copy it. Cliniko only shows it once.
The key gets the same access as the person who makes it, so make it as the owner or an admin.
Connect Cliniko to Routiq
Back in Routiq, open Integrations then Cliniko, paste the key and press Connect Cliniko. Routiq is listed in Cliniko's Connected Apps directory and connects through the Cliniko API, so there is no screen scraping and no second calendar to keep in sync.
Cliniko stays the source of truth. Your team keeps working in Cliniko and sees everything Robyn books there.
Once you're connected.
Robyn gets to work, and Cliniko stays the source of truth.
- Robyn starts answering patient texts, offering real times from your Cliniko diary and booking straight in. Calls go to her voice line, which takes a message and texts back.
- She works your rebooking report, writing follow-ups for patients due back and booking responders into Cliniko.
- Robyn checks every outbound message against AHPRA advertising guidance before it leaves. You make the final call.
